Safe And Effective Weight Loss Programs

At some point in your life you have heard that acupuncture can do wonders for your body. These days, this ancient technique has a counterpart: auricular therapy.

Although auricular therapy and acupuncture are very much alike, there are a few things that set them apart and show why auricular therapy is far more popular these days.

The basic principle of this technique is that various needles (very fine, almost as fine as a hair) are inserted into the surface of the earlobe to stimulate certain areas of the central nervous system.

In the past it was used as a therapy for disease; these days it is an aid in weight loss and is considered by most people to be a more natural way of achieving their weight loss goals.

Auricular therapy is used to help you avoid craving food. By stimulating key parts of your earlobe, your brain won’t feel the urge to eat food. There will be a significant decrease in your appetite and you won’t consume an excessive amount of food, cutting down on the calories ingested. This therapy has proven to be very effective for people who want to lose weight naturally and quickly. But it is important to remember that besides using auricular therapy, it is necessary to follow a healthy diet and develop a physically active lifestyle to complete your weight loss regimen. Auricular therapy used without incorporating these other steps will most likely fail to help you reach your desired weight.

This kind of technique will show effective results after you have had two or three sessions of thirty minutes each. Research has found that auricular therapy is also effective when treating people with an addiction to specific foods; it helped the patients to lead healthier, more active lives.

Since auricular therapy has existed for more than forty years, it is considered a valid aid to weight loss due to its positive results. Although some people claim to have had side effects such as inflammation of the ear lobe, auricular therapy is not known to have any reported side effects other than that. If you are pregnant or have sensitive skin, you may not want to try this type of treatment.
